Last Summer I released
a project called Obliterate Noise. Mainly written as my final piece
for my college course, ON1 was an EP written about my year so far and
featured a lot of songs that I had been working on over time. This EP
was well received but had no mass appeal, that's kind of the way I
wanted it.
The whole point was to
show that I had ethics, and while I wasn't looking to gain from my
music I did want people to have it and respect it. I received a lot
of feedback from people, mainly very positive although it wasn't news
to me that it didn't exactly sound like a professionally produced
masterpiece.
Well I'm back, a whole
year older and wiser, ready to have a crack another EP. ON2. A
continuation of ON1 but actually completely different in every way.
Still written and recorded by me, but produced by a good friend who
helped with a lot of the engineering work on the ON1.
Currently I am
recording the stems of my songs into my DAW and sending them dry to
my producer via snail mail.
I am taking some time
off of work over Easter to go to the studio properly. Hopefully to
re-do some awful vocals and record some more percussion.
I think realistically
this EP will be available for download and CD release some time in
July, before the summer really kicks off. Will hopefully have a music
video put together in those summery months, think beaches, waves,
clouds and skateboarding! Very loose themes.
